About Me

Hi, I’m W. Salvage — a name I gave myself when life changed in ways I never expected.

In my early twenties, I was on the path to becoming a doctor. But that journey took a sharp turn when I was diagnosed with end-stage kidney failure. Since then, I’ve been living with CKD Stage 5 and undergoing regular dialysis — a routine that reshaped my world, but not my will.

Amid hospital visits and quiet battles, I found refuge in writing.

Storytelling became more than a passion — it became survival. A way to escape, to imagine, and to connect. I started crafting short stories that blend folklore, fantasy, and fable — tales where cursed swords whisper secrets, invisible dragons guard the lonely, and animals speak truths we sometimes forget.

My collections — The Panther, Magic Drum, and Rachel & The Invisible Dragon — are born from struggle, wonder, and hope. Each story is a little window into a world shaped by imagination but rooted in something real: the need to feel seen, to dream, and to endure.

If you enjoy stories that make you smile, think, or see the world through a slightly different lens, I hope you’ll explore my work. I write not just to escape — but to remind myself, and maybe someone else out there, that even in the darkest moments, stories can light the way.
